Steelbird India has launched a new range of helmets for the style conscious riders. Called as Ares A1, this range has been priced between Rs 2,499 and Rs 2,999. Styled by a team of Italian designers using advanced technology and equipment, this range is an evolution to the Ares helmet range launched back in 2014.
The company uses Phase Change Technology, which they say is a special method developed by the folks at Nasa to protect astronauts from temperature regulations. This helmet dissipates or retains heat as per the requirement of the surroundings. The inner lining has been developed using this technique. The Ares A1 range also uses a high density EPS shell to absorb the impact force. The foam has been tuned to produce optimal crush for a given impact level using varying density of foam cells.
Steelbird also boasts of using an unbreakable visor which is anti fog and scratch resistant from both sides. The polyester strap is claimed to have a breaking load of 800 kilos and is resistant to abrasion, UV rays and water. Complying to ISI standards, Ares A1 sport flashy, printed matte colour finish, making it impressive to look at.
