After the temporary discontinuation of R3, Fazer 250 will be Yamaha’s flagship motorcycle in the affordable range. A lot about the motorcycle is already known including its design and fairing but a new report at Times of India shares some much-awaited updates.
Fazer 250 Launch
According to the report, Yamaha is expected to commence production of Fazer 250 by August this year and its official launch may take place two months later by or before October 2017. This is precisely its expected time frame – just before the festive season. And we also expect Yamaha to keep a larger inventory of the motorcycle to match the festive demand.
But ToI claims that there will be no change to the motorcycle apart from the added weight resulting from the new full fairing. We understand that there may not be any changes on the visual front, including the power and torque figures but we do expect minor alterations to the engine tune of the motorcycle in favour of the touring credentials it will possess.
As we have said earlier, ToI also believes that Yamaha may continue with the dual disc setup of the FZ25 without ABS. According to our estimates, Fazer (non-ABS) may be priced around Rs 1.30 Lakh ex-showroom Delhi.
