125CC gearless scooter in 2012: Yamaha Ray – price and other details
The scooter would come with a 125cc engine and is targeted directly against Suzuki Access and Honda Activa. We have also learnt that Yamaha Ray would be priced at something around Rs 50,000 on road which is around the price of what Activa’s and Access’ sell in India.
Bookings of Yamaha Ray have already started and the scooter could be booked at a price of Rs 5,000 in Pune with a penalty of Rs 500 in case you cancel your bookings. You can also take part in this Guess the Launch price Yamaha Ray Contest.
With an expected meatier and punchier 125cc engine and a competitive pricing, we hope we are about to get a scooter which would give tough fight and a very viable alternate for Honda Activa in India.
