The electric two-wheeler sales reached an all-time high in July 2026 while it accounted for over 11 percent of the total two-wheeler sales
The electric two-wheeler industry, for the first time, surpassed the 2 lakh sales milestone in July 2026, as per the data released by Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA). The overall electric two-wheeler retail volumes stood at 2,04,362 units last month with an exceptional YoY growth of 88.3 percent as 1,08,516 units were sold in July 2025. The MoM sales also improved from 1,94,963 units in June 2026 with a growth rate of 4.8 percent. The e2w market share reached 11.2 percent in the total two-wheeler sales in July 2026.
TVS Motor Company continued to dominate the electric two-wheeler segment with the likes of iQube and Orbiter. The company posted total sales of 55,499 units with a staggering triple-digit (135.2%) YoY growth against 23,592 units retailed during the same month last year. It captured market share of 27.2 percent, its highest till date, in the electric two-wheeler segment.
The second position, as usual, was occupied by Bajaj Auto with retails of 45,613 units in July 2026. It too, identical to TVS, went on record a flabbergasting YoY growth of 121.9 percent as 20,557 units were sold during the corresponding month last year. Bajaj retails the Chetak EV with various battery pack options in the e2w segment in the Indian market.

Ather Energy retained the third position with sales of 30,357 units in July 2026 as compared to 17,834 units in July 2025 with a YoY growth of 70.2 percent. The company offers 450 and Rizta series of electric scooters in India. A few weeks later on Aug 29 at its Annual Community Day, the brand will introduce the Konarc mass-market low-cost family e-scooter, which is likely to further boost its retail volumes.
Hero MotoCorp continued at the fourth position with 22,900 Vida electric scooters being sold last month in the country. The YoY sales surged by an incredible 111.3 percent as 10,835 units were sold in July 2025. Ola Electric held on to the fifth position with sales of 14,106 units with a double-digit de-growth of 23.5 percent against 18,450 units sold in July 2025.
Greaves Electric Mobility, which retails the Ampere electric scooters in India, clocked sales of 10,125 units in July 2026. The YoY volumes grew by 137.3 percent as 4,266 units were sold in July 2025. River Mobility and BGauss Auto secured the seventh and eighth spots with sales of 5,954 units and 5,518 units, respectively. The combined sales of various “Other” EV brands stood at 14,290 units in July 2026.
