EICMA 2025: BMW F 450 GS Debut Confirmed, Teaser Out

The India-bound BMW F 450 GS will be the brand’s entry-level adventure bike in India as it will replace the phased out G 310 GS

BMW F 450 GS concept had its world premiere at the EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy. It was later also showcased at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo earlier this year in New Delhi. Now, the German brand has teased the new twin-cylinder bike on its official Instagram handle while confirming that it will be unveiled in production-ready form at the EICMA 2025 on Nov 4 in Italy. The F 450 GS adventure bike will also go on sale in the Indian market in early 2026 while locally developed by TVS at the Hosur factory.

A few months back in Aug 2025, first clear images of the F 450 GS in production guise emerged in the form of a leaked design patent filed by BMW in India. The patent images showed that the brand has barely made any changes to the concept version that we all saw at the last edition of EICMA. The adventure motorcycle has been spotted testing multiple times on the Indian roads.

The styling cues have been taken from the R 1300 GS which went on sale earlier this year in our country. Barring for the exposed subframe, which has been omitted from the production-ready model, every design element such as front beak, fuel tank and radiator shrouds have been retained from the concept version. The F 450 GS also gets a split-seat setup, adjustable levers and mid-mounted foot pegs.

The F 450 GS appears to be an adventure tourer with decent off-roading capabilities rather than a hardcore off-roader model. This is pretty evident from the rider triangle as well. It will be positioned in the middleweight adventure segment in India while the 450cc engine platform will spawn two more ADV models for its partners TVS and Norton. For the unversed, TVS has already confirmed the debut of its 450 Adventure bike based on F 450 GS platform at the EICMA 2025.

Some of the notable features onboard the F 450 GS will be all-LED lighting, coloured TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, traction control, multiple ride modes and switchable dual-channel ABS. The adventure bike is likely to ride on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. The trellis frame will be suspended by USD front forks and a monoshock unit at the rear.

At the heart, it will debut the brand’s 450cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine with power output around 48 bhp and torque delivery of 45 Nm. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox alongside a slipper clutch. The concept version had a kerb weight of 175 kg. However, we believe the production-ready BMW F 450 GS to be slightly heavier due to the inclusion of cycle parts.
