Days ahead of the final unveil of two products by the Italian bike maker at the World Ducati Week, a spy shot of an updated 1299 Panigale testing has been seen doing rounds over the web. Is this the limited edition version of a bike currently on sale which Ducati has promised about? Well it certainly seems like it.
An image shared by the folks at MCN show a slightly dolled up version of the motorcycle with new changes. Set to be unveiled tomorrow, Ducati also has in line an all-new motorcycle, which might just be a bigger hearted Scrambler. So what all has changed in the test unit as compared to the version on sale right now? Let’s have a look:
- The Akrapovic exhaust with dual canisters. This though is available as an optional extra for the bike.
- Restyled front forks which bear a new look at the point of attachment with the wheel.
- Reworked footpegs reminding us of the 1199 Superleggera.
Back in 2014, the 1199 Superleggera was a limited edition model with only 500 units built. The Panigale 1299 at present with its 1,285 cc liquid cooled, Superquadro L-twin mill churns out 202.2 bhp of maximum at 10,500 rpm and 144.6 Nm of peak torque at 8,750 rpm! Can we see a few more horses squeezed out of it?
The 1299 Panigale is priced at 34.49 lakhs while the crazier 1299 Panigale S is priced at Rs 42.49 lakhs (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
