Ducati to Officially Bring Forth the New Supersport at Intermot!

At the recently concluded World Ducati Week Ducati showcased their latest supersport monster. This wonderful piece of machine is intended to be the a slight step down from the Panigale 959 which wouldn’t be wrong if I say is a track focused mean machine. The new supersport will be fast too, well, that’s something which all Ducatis have in common. But it will be all about useable performance on the streets.

While we were expecting the bike to be launched at the world’s biggest motorcycle show, the EICMA in November, but it seems that the Italians are ready to go bring the cavalry a month sooner. In a teaser image rolled out as an invite to global media, Ducati gives a very subtle hint that the bike will be present at the Intermot. Set to be unveiled at Cologne, Germany, on October 4, 2016!

Codenamed as Project 1312, the bike gets an engine of the same size as the Hypermotard 939’s 937 cc mill. But hey, don’t expect it to be the same old wine in new bottle. That’s not the way Ducati would like to roll. Instead, the engine will be 80 percent new!
