Ducati India is all set to launch the XDiavel. They have rolled out invites for the launch of the bike which will take place on September 15, 2016. The bike was unveiled at the 2015 EICMA and is the first belt drive sports cruiser by the Italian brand. Aiming to mix the two worlds of a cruiser with the Ducati DNA of speed, the XDiavel is a classy answer.
The 1,262 cc Testastretta DVT mill churning out 156 PS of maximum power at 9,500 rpm. That’s an interestingly high figure for a sports cruiser. The torque output too, is a handsome 128.9 Nm, peaking at 5,000 rpm. The dry weight stands at 220 kilos and the wet weight stands at 247 kilos. The fuel tank can store 18 litre of petrol to take you to different places!
The comfortable seat height of 755 mm is also a boon for shorter riders. Features include Ducati Safety Pack (traction control plus Cornering ABS by Bosch). Ducati Power Launch, cruise control and backlit switchgear. Oh wait, did I tell you it gets full LED lighting. You also get to choose from three different handlebar options.
The bike can be a delight to ride and allows the rider to hit a 40-degree lean angle. How many of your cruisers can do that eh? Dealerships have started accepting pre-bookings for the XDiavel, for an amount of Rs 2 lakhs.
