Ducati ‘Scrambler Urban Motard’ Coming To India Soon; Unofficial Bookings Begin

So, Ducati is planning to bring their funky styled ‘Scrambler Urban Motard’ to India very soon. There is no official hint or announcement from the Italians regarding the launch, but various dealerships in India have started taking pre-bookings for the Scrambler Urban Motard unofficially. 

The Ducati Urban Scrambler has already been available in the International market for a while and It is safe to assume that Ducati wll be bringing the global model to our shores as well.

Ducati describes their funky Scrambler Urban Motard as a ‘City Rebel’. Covering the Scrambler model is a dual-tone paint job which combines Star White Silk White and Ducati GP ’19 Red in funky graphics which are inspired by the world of street art and metropolitan graffiti.

Powering the Scrambler Urban Motard is Ducati’s 803 cc, L-Twin, air-cooled engine which puts out 73 BHP at 8,250 RPM and 66.2 Nm of torque at 5,750 RPM. This engine puts down its power through a 6-speed transmission system.

The Scrambler Urban Motard is built around a Tubular Steel Trellis Framewhich houses the L-Twin engine and is connected to 41 mm Kayaba USD forks in the front and a Kayaba monoshock setup at the rear. The braking is handled by a single 330 mm disc at the front and 245 mm single-disc at the rear. 

Since the unofficial pre-booking has started, this means the launch of the Scrambler Urban Motard is not that far. Once launched, the groovy Scrambler will compete against Triumph Street Scrambler and  BMW R nineT Scrambler in our market. 

We expect the Ducati Scrambler Urban Motard to be priced around Rs. 8 Lakh – Rs. 10 Lakh.
