The bike looks same as the stock model of Panigale 1199 with a few minor changes that are hardly noticeable.

Honouring the event was Ducati’s own MotoGP riders Nicky Hayden and Ben Spies who rode bikes prior to the launch showcasing the bikes capabilities.

Getting things straight about the 1199R, the bike shares the same Ohlins DES Electric Suspension that is seen in the 1199S along with Brembo M50 calipers and the superb 195bhp Superquadro motor that is exquisitely incorporated into the monoque chassis. Apart from all these, what really the 1199R has got separating it from the 1199S? The answer is, a Lighter Flywheel, Titanium Connecting rods that gets the engine spinning quicker than the 1199S model. By the presence of these components Ducati has increased the rpm range of the 1199R to a 500 more revs. The increases in the Revs have made Ducati to introduce new shorter gearing ratios to make the acceleration peppier in the 1199R. The surplus use of carbon fibre components and the innovation levels at Ducati have brought down the dry weight to an incredible 165 Kg.

The Panigale 1199R also gets a Ducati Corse inspired paint job, a tailor made windscreen, race saddle and a luxury of carbon fibre components spilled all over. Ducati Boss Claudio Domenicali during the launch said; some electronics tweaks, the EVO full exhaust system, adjustable swingarm pivot basically added for racers to help find a better set-up have all been incorporated in the Panigale 1199R.

The Panigale 1199R is expected soon to land in Indian Shores which will be available at a Premium Price along with their existing models.
