Ducati Diavel Launched In Asia Pacific Region – Coming to India Within a Few Weeks

Ducati Diavel, one of the hottest looking beasts from Ducati, Italy’s largest motorcycle maker is all set for launch in the Chinese market. Following China, Ducati has plans to launch the Diavel in Middle-East and the Asian markets. So, expect it in India in a short while.

Personally, I am a big fan of this mean machine. Its aggressive look will make any biker go wild. What an awesome piece of art. I haven’t seen any bike in my life whose name matches exactly the design. Diavel, in Bolognese dialect means devil. The bike demands being named Diavel.

Technically, the Diavel is Testastretta , 4 valved, L-Twin cylinder , liquid cooled engine displacing 1198.4cc. The Fuel Injection for this bike is designed by Mitsubishi. The engine is mounted to a six speed gearbox. ABS comes as standard equipment along with this mean machine.

Diavel comes with three electronic riding modes namely the Sport, Touring and the Urban mode. The sport mode enables the rider to experience the maximum acceleration. The Touring mode enables the rider to experience a relaxed ride thereby enabling the rider to have a comfortable journey all through the ride. The Urban mode enables the rider to have a better manageable and a confident ride.

The Diavel comes with an all LED headlamps and tail lights. The LED headlamps provide optimum visibility for the rider. The discs for this bike are from Brembo, the brand that is known for the best discs for bikes as well as cars. The tires for the same are from the world’s best tyre makers, Pirelli – Ducati’s official technical partner. It is also equipped with DTC (Ducati Traction Control).

Diavel is available in two editions – Diaval and Diavel Carbon with the Carbon being the higher end. There are currently two colour schemes for this bike namely Diamond black and Red.

Expect this devil to be launched in India by the end of this month or by the first week of May. We assume the price of Ducati Diavel to be in the band of INR 19-20 lakhs.

Mr. Gabriele Del Torchio, CEO and President of Ducati Motor Holding is quoted saying, “The Diavel is, without any doubt, the most exciting innovation in the Ducati 2011 line because it represents a new concept of motorcycle. It is a naked bike because it is essential, light and agile; a cruiser because it is imposing and also comfortable with a passenger; and a sports bike because it has a powerful heart, muscles, and levels of performance that take your breath away,”

Yes, Diavel will indeed bring about high levels of performance and we do not have any second thought on it.
