The new engine is 144.8cc big and produces 14.5 PS of maximum power at 8500 rpm and 12.75Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. This reminds us of the first-gen Pulsar 150 Classic which had a 143.9cc motor and produced 11.82 bhp of power.

This also officially confirms that there will be two variants on offer – the Disc brake and the drum brake. Weighing in at just 129kgs (130 kgs for the disc brake Discover 150S), the bike has a tremendous power to weight ratio which is better than even the Pulsar 150 currently on sale.

Bajaj claims a top speed of 110kmph and the ground clearance at 165mm is impressive. Discover 150S gets a 5-speed manual transmission, fuel tank capacity of 10 liters and a saddle height of 795mm.

Though Discover 150S is pitched at the entry level 150cc segment, it outpowers many of its premium counterparts including the latest launched FZ v2 which produces just 13.1PS of power and 12.8Nm of torque from its new 149cc motor.
