Disc Brake Loaded Vespa ‘VX’ Variant Priced at Rs 65,596

Vespa has launched the higher ‘VX’ variant of its lone scooter offering in India and this is in addition to their ‘LX’ which is already on sale. The Vespa VX comes with a lot of features that make it a premium offering. As a first, it gets the much-needed 220mm disc brakes, which we feel should already have been offered as stock!

Like in cars, customers also have an option of selecting ‘beige’ colored seats from the stock black. Vespa VX comes with a new speedometer and has a longer pillion grab rail. Another prominent addition is the inclusion of MRF Zapper tyres which will further enhance the braking capabilities and inspire confidence in the scooter.

New Vespa VX also comes in two new color options – extremely girly Bright Pink and Turquoise Green. According to OverDrive, Vespa has discontinued the black and maroon colors which are reportedly not churning up much demand. For now the LX variant continues to sell and if the demand dies down, Vespa will discontinue it from the market, is our assumption.

Vespa VX Price

Vespa is priced at Rs 65,596 ex-showroom Mumbai which adds upto an on road price of Rs 78,200. These are Rs 3281 higher than the Rs 62,315 costing Vespa LX (ex-Mumbai).

Will the addition of these features do good to Vespa’s sales? Let’s wait and see!
