We just saw Triumph showcase their Rajputana Customs built Bonneville based café racer at the IBW in February and Bajaj, at the CNR Expo in Turkey, has also kept on display a Boxer 150 based café racer. Possibly done by the company itself or an individual or some group, this blue Boxer 150 café racer does manage to look interesting!
Boxer 150 was once sold in India and carried a 144.8 cc mill which was capable of churning out 12 PS of power at 7,500 rpm and 12.26 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. We believe the same engine tune has been carried over!
This picture of the motorcycle has been taken from Bajaj Turkey’s Facebook page and we can see the following changes/add-ons:
- Black themed layout with black alloys
- Black suspension setup
- Stylish black exhaust canister which looks much better than the standard Boxer
- The tyres too seem to be of a much better quality than the stocks, at least in looks!
- The side indicators and rear view mirrors are rounded units to enhance the classic theme.
While the Boxer 150 café racer does not seem as preposterous as the Splendor Pro Classic, the idea seems to be catching up, recently re-sparked by Royal Enfield with their Continental GT!
Did you like what you just saw..?
