Chetak 2901 features include funky colors, 123 km range, metallic body etc. And you can increase this by opting for the TecPac as well..
As was hinted at by Bajaj’s top officials a few times earlier, the company has officially announced the launch of the most affordable variant of its Chetak. Dubbed as Chetak 2901, the scoot will sit as the entry model in the company’s electric scooter portfolio.
Interestingly, despite the major price difference, the scooter is still fairly loaded. The Chetak 2901 comes with an ARAI certified rage of 123 kilometers – which is surprisingly 10 km more than the Urbane trim (it is however 3 km lesser than the top Chetak Premium).
Bajaj has carried forward the same metallic body in the entry trim as well. To add spice to the scooter, Bajaj is offering it in five funky colors – Black, White, Lime Yellow, Azure Blue and Red.
Chteak 2901 Features
The next question you may ask is – what’s missing?
So, the standard Chetak 2901 comes with…
- One single ride mode
- Steel wheels
- Reduced top speed of 63 kph – 10 kph lesser than the other Chetaks
- Increased charging time of 6 hours
There is a possibility of the scoot coming with a monotone LCD instrument cluster by default, however, a confirmation on this is pending.
But wait a minute…
In case you want more features, you can just put in Rs 3000 extra and get yourself the TecPac which will give your Chetak 2901 the following additional features..
- Colored digital console
- Alloy wheels
- Two additional ride modes,
- Bluetooth connectivity – Call and music control, etc
- Hill hold
- Reverse mode
- Follow Me Home lights

Sales of Chetak have already picked pace in the last few quarters and with this significantly cheaper variant, Bajaj is now eyeing for a bigger play in this segment. Eric Vas, President Urbanite Bajaj Auto iterated this in his statement when he said ‘We believe Chetak 2901 shall dramatically expand the electric scooter market.‘
Roll outs of the 2901 to Chetak dealerships have already commenced and deliveries will start from 15th June onwards. Bookings are open at the company’s official website.
