CBR650F Reportedly Spotted at Indore Dealership: Can we Talk Launch Now Honda…?

After displaying and officially confirming it for our market back at the 2014 Auto Expo, Honda has been delaying the launch of the much awaited mid-sizer CBR650F in India. In a new update, Motoroids.com has shared a pic of the motorcycle and the reader claims that it has been spotted at one of Honda’s Indore dealership, however, its authenticity can not be verified.

But if this is true, it would mean that CBR650F has started reaching dealerships and the company may announce its launch sometime soon, possibly within a few days or weeks…

Honda has officially shared their plan of promoting the CBR which will see it going to premium dealerships (most probably existing dealerships with dedicated sections) in 20 cities only. It will be manufactured as a CKD (Completely Knocked Down Unit) with local content of about 5 percent.

In terms of specs, CBR650F carries an inline four cylinder liquid cooled 649 cc engine which is capable of churning out 86 PS of peak power and 63 Nm of maximum torque and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Honda promises that the pricing of this road-going version of the supersport CBR 600RR will be ‘competitive’. Benelli has already stolen the thunder of launching the most affordable in-line 4 cylinder TNT 600i. Let us wait and see how much Honda adds to it…
