There are truckloads of commuters in the 100 to 110cc space and they sell like crazy! But, if we have to pick the most exciting from this lot, it, undoubtedly, has to be the Twister, clearly our favourite 100cc motorcycle for the last many years!
But, unfortunately, because of its sporty intents, it misses out on some practical features quite common to this segment and hence it has not been one of Honda’s best sellers. Honda has not updated it for a long time (it doesn’t get HET) and when was the last time you saw them promoting it anywhere? Its their new Dream series of motorcycles that get tons of money for all the marketing. Hints are quite clear, Twister may be shown the door sometime soon.
In the wake of this expectation, a report at Gaadiwaadi.com claims that Honda will replace Twister with a Dream-series platform based motorcycle called as LIVO! Not much is known apart from this, but we hope it will not be another plane jane ‘Dream’ motorcycle and should carry over the sportiness of Twister.
This also reminds us of the spyshots of a camouflaged Honda commuter which flashed a few weeks back (also featured on this page). It may or may not be the same Livo motorcycle. It will be the same 110cc responsive engine that powers the current version and it is definitely expected to get HET to boost fuel efficiency figures. Since it is expected to sit over the Dream Yuga, prices may start from around Rs 50,000.
