Caught Again: Hero’s Upcoming Premium Bike Looks Sportier in These New Spyshots

Here we go again!! Hero MotoCorp’s upcoming premium bike has been spotted again by Autocar India. Clad in black disguise, this time it had a rider on top of it. The rider was dressed in white, and carried ample safety gear. His mane flipping, the bike was probably rushing forward at an urgent rate.

This bike has been spotted a couple of times earlier. The first spotting occurred near Hero MotoCorp’s Dharuhera R&D plant, sending bloggers into a typing frenzy. We aren’t sure in which stage of testing this bike is. However, it appears Hero MotoCorp is hell bent to shed its ricey image.

Details can be called hazy at best. It could be a Karizma successor, however the presence of rear disc brake as well as rear drum brake variants in some earlier spyshots suggests the upgradation of the current couple of Karizma models.

What is clear from the spyshots is that there is definitely a fairing. The bike will glide on alloy wheels. It features clip-on handlebars (slightly raised), alloy footrests and clear lens indicators. Unlike the current Karizma twins, there’s a tiny mudguard strapped on to a raised rear profile in addition to a tyre hugger. And hey, there’s an exposed drive chain as well.

Telescopic forks are present at the front, while a set of gas-charged inverted shock absorbers are present at the rear. Hero still continues to employ a rectangular section swingarm. A single rotor disc brake will do duty in front. As we mentioned earlier, a couple of test bikes had been spotted with one using a disc rear brake and another with more conventional drum rear brake.

Hero’s new flagship could head to showrooms shortly, around the upcoming Indian festive season. We expect good pricing as Hero looks to chart its comeback trail in the premium motorcycle space.

In a surprise development, Hero has officially announced that they are working on three new grounds-up engines which also includes a 250cc motor. Hence, there also lies the possibility of this mule sporting it…

Keep tuned as we try to unearth more details…
