So, just a few hours ago we shared the teaser of the new Splendor which Hero MotoCorp shared on their social media. And lo and behold!! The largest maker has already launched the futuristic avatar of their ever-popular Splendor model called – Hero Splendor+ XTEC.
2022 Hero Splendor XTEC Price, Colours & Availability
Hero have launched the latest avatar – Splendor+ XTEC – starting at Rs. 72,900/- (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The company states that the new Splendor is available for purchase across all their dealerships and will get 5-year warranty as standard on every purchase of the bike.
The Splendor+ XTEC is offered in 4 new colours – Sparkling Blue Beta, Canvas Black, Tornado Grey & Pearl White.

2022 Hero Splendor+ XTEC – What’s New
This new futuristic Splendor+ is loaded with lots of goodies.
Picking the safety features first, the new Splendor+ XTEC is equipped with government mandated Side-Stand Engine Cut-off feature which will not allow the bike to start if the side-stand is not folded away by the rider. Additionally, the bike comes with a Bank- angle Sensor which automatically cuts-off the engine in the event of tip-over.
The biggest change that has brought the Splendor in touch with modern times is the addition of the company’s proprietary XTEC technology. Hero claims that the XTEC enabled fully-digital instrumentation is a segment-first feature which ‘provides the rider with maximum functionality & information’.
The fully-digital instrumentation shares vital information with the rider such as – Incoming & Missed call alerts, New message alert, Two trip-meters, Real Time Mileage Indicator (RTMI) and Low fuel indicator. The bike also gets an integrated USB charging port as standard feature.
Finally, the Splendor+ XTEC is offered in 4 new colour options – Sparkling Blue Beta, Canvas Black, Tornado Grey & Pearl White. Highlighting the novelness of the bike is the addition of a new LED High Intensity Position Lamp (HIPL) which gives the bike its new distinct look.
New Splendor+ XTEC – What Didn’t Change
Underneath all the new colours and features, the Chassis and the Engine remains untouched.
The Splendor+ XTEC is still powered by the tried-and-tested BS-VI compliant 97.2 cc engine which puts out 7.9 BHP at 7,000 RPM and 8.05 Nm of torque at 6,000 RPM. The engine transfers its power through a 4-speed transmission system.
The engine still boasts the company’s proprietary i3S Start-Stop technology which provides exemplary fuel efficiency.
The top of the line regular Splendor is priced at Rs 71,700 which means the company is charging a premium of Rs 1200 for all these added features.
