
The updated S 1000 RR was launched at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January at a price tag of Rs 21.10 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
BMW S 1000 RR has crossed the sales milestone of 1000 units in the Indian market. The German brand claims that it is the most successful performance sports bike in India. Launched at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January, the S 1000 RR is priced at Rs 21.10 lakh (ex-showroom) in the domestic market. The 1000th unit was delivered to Mr. Varun Yadav from Delhi by Mr. Shardenduu Chaturvedi, Director – BMW Motorrad India and Mr. Manish Gupta, Dealer Principal, Lutyens Motorrad in an exclusive ceremony.
The S 1000 RR boasts of several track performance elements in the form of high windscreen, side winglets and brake cooling ducts. Furthermore, the lower triple clamp has been partitioned to achieve higher aerodynamics. The bike is brought in India via the CBU route while it has taken nearly 6 months to touch the 1000 units sales milestone.

Sitting on the aluminium bridge frame, BMW S 1000 RR can be personalised with two optional packages β Dynamic and M. While the former comprises of DDC electronic chassis, Electronic cruise control and heated grips, the latter comes with Light white/M Motorsport paintwork, M Sport seat, M Carbon wheels with M Tapes, M footrest system and the black fuel filler cap.

The sports bike is offered with four standard ride modes namely Rain, Road, Dynamic, and Race. In addition, it also gets Race Pro riding modes with a lot of premium racing features such as adjustable DTC Wheelie function and Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) among others. The S 1000 RR is packed with ABS Pro with new Brake Slide Assist as standard.
At the heart, BMW S 1000 RR has a 999cc, 4-cylinder petrol engine with BMW ShiftCam Technology which develops top power of 208 bhp at 3,750 rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed gearbox with anti-hopping clutch system and Gear Shift Assistant Pro. The S 1000 RR directly rivals Honda CBR 1000 RR, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and Ducati Panigale V4 in the Indian market.
