BMW F 450 GS is likely to launch at the India Bike Week (IBW) on Dec 19 in the Indian market at approx price of Rs 4.50 lakh (ex-showroom)
BMW F 450 GS has entered production at TVS Motor Company’s Hosur factory in Tamil Nadu, India. Both the companies also announced that they have achieved a production milestone of 2 lakh units as part of their alliance. The F 450 GS had its world premiere at the recently concluded EICMA 2025 in Italy. It is likely to launch at the India Bike Week (IBW) on Dec 19 in the Indian market. The adventure motorcycle will rival Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure while priced around Rs 4.50 lakh (ex-showroom) in the domestic market.
BMW F 450 GS will be the brand’s entry-level adventure bike in India. Some BMW Motorrad dealers have even started accepting bookings for the ADV motorcycle at a token payment of Rs 50,000 with first deliveries promised by early 2026. Earlier, BMW used to sell the G 310 GS as its entry-level adventure model in India but it was discontinued earlier this year.

Sitting on a tubular steel frame, the F 450 GS flaunts a LED headlamp with ‘X’ shaped DRL. It rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels with 100/90-19 and 130/80-17 tubeless tyres, respectively. The rear end boasts of an upswept exhaust pipe in stainless steel as standard while an Akrapovic end muffler is available as an option. The overall styling of the ADV bike is quite aggressive with a decent road presence.
The suspension duties are helmed by KYB-sourced USD telescopic front forks and double-sided rear swing arm with adjustable spring preload and rebound damping. The stopping power comes from disc brakes at both the ends. Some of the notable features onboard the F 450 GS are 6.5-inch TFT instrument cluster, Ride Modes (Rain, Road, Enduro, and Enduro Pro), ABS Pro, Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and engine drag torque control (MSR).

At the heart, the F 450 GS houses a 420cc twin-cylinder water-cooled petrol engine which generates peak power of 47 bhp and highest torque of 43 Nm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed gearbox. The adventure bike is claimed to have a top speed of 165 kmph. It has a fuel tank capacity of 14 litres while the saddle height is tipped at 845 mm.
