Some of the notable design highlights include LED headlight with “X” daytime riding light, upswept stainless steel muffler, and 100/90-19 front & 130/80-17 rear tubeless tyres.

The suspension setup consists of KYB-sourced USD telescopic front forks and double-sided rear swing arm with adjustable spring preload and rebound damping. As for the braking system, it gets disc units at both ends. The standard saddle height is tipped at 845 mm. However, the customers have the option of selecting lower and higher seats in the form of Black rider (830 mm) and Rallye unit (865 mm).
BMW has packed the F 450 GS with a plethora of bells and whistles in the form of Ride Modes (Rain, Road, Enduro, and Enduro Pro), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Easy Ride Clutch (ERC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) and ABS Pro. The ADV bike gets a 6.5-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity for advanced features such as navigation, music playback and answer/reject phone calls.

At the heart, the F 450 GS has the 420cc twin-cylinder water-cooled engine which generates max power of 47 bhp at 8750 rpm and highest torque of 43 Nm at 6750 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It is capable of clocking a top speed of 165 kmph. BMW F 450 GS price is likely to start at Rs 4.50 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market as it rivals Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure.
