While the booking amount varies from dealership to dealership, the first deliveries are promised from the first week of May 2026
BMW F 450 GS bookings have officially commenced at the brand’s authorized dealerships in India. The twin-cylinder ADV bike can only be booked by visiting the BMW Motorrad showrooms as there is no provision of online orders. The F 450 GS will be launched on April 23, 2026 in the Indian market. The local production of the adventure motorcycle began last year in Nov at the Hosur factory of TVS Motor Company in Tamil Nadu. The F 450 GS will rival Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, Kawasaki Ninja 500 and KTM 390 Adventure.
Sitting on a tubular frame, BMW F 450 GS will be offered with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. The cross-spoke wheels could be available as an option for the buyers. Some of the prominent design highlights of the ADV bike are LED headlight with “X” daytime riding light, Golden-coloured USD front forks, and upswept stainless steel muffler.
The standard saddle height is tipped at 845 mm. However, the customers have the option of selecting lower and higher seats in the form of Black rider (830 mm) and Rallye unit (865 mm). The stopping power comes from disc brakes at both the ends. As for suspension setup, the F 450 GS gets USD telescopic front forks and double-sided rear swing arm with adjustable spring preload and rebound damping.

BMW has packed the F 450 GS with a plethora of bells and whistles in the form of Ride Modes (Rain, Road, Enduro, and Enduro Pro), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Easy Ride Clutch (ERC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) and ABS Pro. The ADV bike gets a 6.5-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity for advanced features such as navigation, music playback and answer/reject phone calls.
At the heart, the F 450 GS has the 420cc twin-cylinder water-cooled engine which generates max power of 47 bhp at 8750 rpm and highest torque of 43 Nm at 6750 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It is capable of clocking a top speed of 165 kmph. The F 450 GS will be the entry-level adventure motorcycle in BMW’s portfolio after the discontinuation of the G 310 GS.

The adventure motorcycle has been designed and developed in Germany but the production is taking place in India. This platform is likely to spawn two more motorcycles for the company, which are likely to debut at the EICMA 2026. While one of the models could be a naked bike, the second one could be a fully-faired supersports bike from BMW based on the 420cc engine platform.
