The Diwali festive season has begun in full swing as almost every automobile brand is witnessing increased footfall at its dealerships across the country. Despite the government not slashing GST on EVs and retaining it at 5 percent, the sales numbers have not dropped. Several two-wheeler companies have rolled out attractive benefits and discounts on the purchase of electric scooters. Hence, it appears to be the best time to take home your favorite e-scooter. In this piece, we have listed the best electric scooters to buy this Diwali festive season.
1. TVS Orbiter
Launched a few months back at Rs 99,900 (ex-showroom), TVS Orbiter is the entry-level electric scooter in the company portfolio as it has been positioned below the best-seller iQube. The Orbiter can be booked at a fully refundable token payment of Rs 5,001 on TVS website while delivery timeline stands at 2 weeks for Bengaluru while for other cities, it is not known yet.
It is powered by a 3.1 kWh battery pack with a range of 158 km on a single charge. Some of the notable highlights of the Orbiter EV are 845 mm single-piece flat seat, 290 mm flatboard, cruise control, hill hold assist, USB charging slot and reverse mode.
2. Ather Rizta S
The Rizta S with a 2.9 kWh battery pack is the most economical and accessible electric scooter from the Bengaluru-based EV brand. Priced at Rs 1.12 lakh (ex-showroom), it has an IDC range of 123 km on a full charge. Ather Rizta S can be availed in four colour schemes namely Pangong Blue, Deccan Grey, Siachen White and Terracotta Red.

Some of the prominent features of the electric scooter include 7-inch DeepView display, Ride modes, 80 kmph top speed, turn-by-turn navigation, reverse mode, autohold, 34 litres underseat storage, front disc brake, and call & music controls.
3. Ola S1 X
The S1 X is available with three different battery packs but we will talk about the base variant with 2 kWh battery. The 3rd-gen Ola S1 X with 2 kWh battery pack at the helm returns an IDC range of 108 km while clocking a top speed of 101 kmph.
Priced at Rs 80,999 (ex-showroom), it is available with a plethora of comfort creature such as 34L boot storage area, 4.2-inch coloured LCD display, LED headlamp and tail-lamp, ride modes, side stand alert, reverse mode, OTA updates, Bluetooth connectivity, and Navigation among others.
4. Bajaj Chetak 3001
The most affordable variant of the Chetak at price point of Rs 99,990 (ex-showroom) was launched in June 2025. It comes equipped with a battery of 3 kWh which delivers a range of 127 km on a full charge.

Presented in a steel metal body, Bajaj Chetak 3001 gets decent features in the form of call accept/reject, music control, guide me home lights, hill hold assist, reverse light and auto-flashing stop lamp. It is available in three colours namely Red, Yellow and Blue. The e-scooter takes 3 hours and 50 minutes for a 0-80 percent charge through a 750W charger.
5. Hero Vida VX2
The Vida VX2 is India’s cheapest electric scooter at Rs 59,490 (ex-showroom), albeit with BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) model, from a mainstream brand. However, without the BaaS, it is offered in two variants namely VX2 Go and VX2 Plus at price points of Rs 99,490 and Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.

While the entry-level Go grade is powered by a 2.2 kWh battery with a range of 92 km, the Plus derivative houses a relatively bigger 3.4 kWh battery with a range of 142 km on a single charge. Both the battery packs are removable due to the BaaS model on offer.
