The latest launches are only the beginning, with Bajaj planning more Pulsar updates along with a new dual-sport and Triumph Bonneville 400
Bajaj Auto has had a busy August, but the company clearly isn’t done yet. After introducing the new Pulsar 125, Pulsar 150 and the N160 S and SS, Bajaj has confirmed that another six motorcycles will be introduced before the festive season. Importantly, these won’t all be brand-new motorcycles. The plan includes a combination of new Pulsars, updated existing models and products from the company’s wider portfolio.
The Pulsar family will continue to be at the centre of this product offensive. Bajaj says its 125 cc-160 cc motorcycles will eventually be organised around three distinct Pulsar platforms, the Original, N and NS. The original platform caters to the more conventional commuter-oriented buyer, while the N and NS families are expected to offer progressively sportier propositions. The company has already begun this restructuring with the latest 125, 150 and N160, and the NS range is expected to be the next major focus.
This strategy makes sense considering the importance of the Pulsar nameplate. The range was the third best-selling motorcycle family in India in July 2026, with 66,156 units dispatched. Bajaj also says its sports motorcycle business, which includes the Pulsar, Avenger and Dominar, grew by around 50% year-on-year during the April-June quarter.
One of the more interesting upcoming products is Bajaj’s first dual-sport motorcycle. The bike has already been spotted testing and is expected to launch in Brazil before the end of 2026, with India expected to follow later. It is not yet clear whether Bajaj will count this motorcycle as one of the six launches planned before the festive season, but its arrival is certainly getting closer.
Then there is the much-awaited Triumph Bonneville 400. This will effectively be the retro-styled cousin to the existing Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X, but with a design inspired by the larger Bonneville family. The motorcycle is expected to use the same broad 400cc platform that has already proven itself in the Speed and Scrambler, although Triumph and Bajaj have not revealed the final India-spec details yet.
The timing of all these launches is important. Bajaj is preparing for the festive season while simultaneously planning a sizeable expansion of its production capacity. The company currently has installed capacity of around 72 lakh vehicles a year and is looking to take that beyond 90 lakh units, using a combination of brownfield expansion and a new greenfield facility.
And this is where the earlier announcement about 10 new models starts making more sense. Bajaj had originally confirmed that two of those would be all-new Pulsars, while the rest would consist of new variants and product upgrades. With four motorcycles already introduced in August, the remaining products are likely to complete this first major phase of the company’s portfolio refresh.
