The company faced a setback in domestic sales as YoY volumes declined while the export business flourished with double-digit YoY growth in September 2026
Bajaj Auto has registered total sales of 4.51 lakh units in September 2026 with a YoY growth of 5 percent. The Pune-based two-wheeler brand had sold 4.31 lakh units during the same month last year. However, the domestic sales declined from 2.73 lakh units in September 2025 to 2.40 lakh units in September 2026 at 12 percent on a YoY basis. The export business saved the company as it posted a healthy double-digit growth of 34 percent with 2.12 lakh units of made-in-India motorcycles being shipped last month as compared to 1.58 lakh units in September 2025.
The brand also released the sales data for H1FY27 (April-September 2026) period. The overall sales during the first half of the ongoing fiscal stood at 25.07 lakh units against 20.18 lakh units during H1FY26 (April-September 2025). Bajaj reported a YoY growth of 24 percent. As far as domestic volumes are concerned, it sold 11.94 lakh units in H1FY27 with a YoY growth of 6 percent. The company had managed to sell 11.26 lakh units during H1FY26 (April-September 2025).
The export business recorded maximum YoY growth of 47 percent in H1FY27 (April-September 2026) as numbers touched 13.13 lakh units during this period as compared to 8.92 lakh units exported during H1FY26 (April-September 2025). Bajaj Auto has been India’s leading exporter of two-wheelers from the last several years. The bikes are shipped to more than 100 countries in Latin America, Africa, and Middle East.

Just a couple of days back, Bajaj Auto launched the 2026 Pulsar NS400Z TFT at a sticker price of Rs 1.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market. The brand claimed that it is the most feature-loaded motorcycle in its segment with the inclusion of 5-inch TFT instrument cluster, Google Maps mirroring, Music Control, Document Storage, and Lap Timer.
The 2026 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z retains several features from the outgoing model in the form of 4 Ride Modes, Traction Control, Electronic Throttle Body, 43 mm USD front suspension, Dual-channel ABS, Sports Shifter and Radial tyres. It has been equipped with a couple of new features, which are USB Type-C charging port and Panic Brake Alert. Mechanically, the bike remains unchanged with the same 349cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine at the helm.

The Pune-based two-wheeler company is on a launching spree as in the last few days it has rolled out the Pulsar N160 4V, and new-gen models of the Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 in our country. In the coming days, we will witness the launch of Bajaj’s first dual-sport adventure motorcycle which has been spotted multiple times on the Indian roads. It will be sold in India while also being exported to various global markets, including Brazil.
