Bajaj Pulsar N160 S, N160 SS Launched in India – New Features

Both the naked models in the N160 range are offered with several class-leading features and a more powerful engine

Bajaj Auto has launched the all-new Pulsar N160 S and Pulsar N160 SS at price points of Rs 1.34 lakh and Rs 1.43 lakh, respectively, in the Indian market. Both the prices mentioned before are ex-showroom, Delhi. Both the new models have been rolled out to celebrate the 25 years of Pulsar nameplate in India while expanding the highly successful Pulsar N range. Needless to mention, Bajaj Pulsar N160 S and Bajaj Pulsar N160 SS are offered with multiple best-in-segment features and an all-new engine.

First things first, the N160 duo will be available in three new colors namely Atlantic Blue, Pearl Metallic White, and Brooklyn Black. Both the naked streetfighter models get sharp new graphics, coloured alloy wheels and improved handlebar angle. Bajaj Auto has offered four ride modes in the form of Rain, Sport, Road and Off-road with the N160 S and N160 SS.

Bajaj N160 SS is the only motorcycle in India to come with a 5-inch TFT instrument console and Google Maps Mirroring. However, the Crawl technology has been extended to both the models for ensuring smooth low-speed movement even in high gears during stop-and-go city traffic. This technology eliminates the need of frequent gear changes or use of the clutch during the thick traffic.

Bajaj Pulsar N160

The Pulsar N160 SS, in particular, also boasts of Responsive Traction Control for better grip on various surfaces. It is powered by the Intelligent Throttle (ETB) to optimize throttle response and deliver smoother power delivery. Bajaj Auto claims that the Pulsar N160 range is the most searched sports motorcycle online with a sales growth of 60 percent in the first six months of this calendar year.

Both the N160 S and N160 SS retain a few features from the original Pulsar N160 in the form of projector LED headlamp, Golden USD front forks, and comfortable single seat. However, the duo is powered by an all-new 165cc 4V oil-cooled engine which returns top power of 18.2 bhp which is said to be the highest in the segment. Linked to a 5-speed gearbox, The duo takes 4.5 secs for a 0-60 kmph sprint which is again the fastest in its category.
