My biking history start with RX100 in late 90’s when I was in 10th Class, learnt riding on that bike, have lots of memories of good times. My first bike was Yamaha RX 100 then GF 125, Pulsar 150, Pulsar 200 ’07 Model and Now Again Pulsar 200 NS Naked Sports.

I am not very good at technical specification for the bikes, what only I look before buying the bike is Style, Power, and most important is budget. P200NS well suited in budget, style and power, so it’s the perfect bike for me as of now for me, next change definitely will be triumph Daytona 675.

Design

Design is very aggressive and muscular, the naked street bike. Headlight shines very brilliant, very well focused beam at light.
It comes with Digital – analogue instruments, including a digital speedometer, odometer, trip counter, & clock (which were missing in previous version of 200), clip – on handle bars. Under body silencer, very well fitted below its engine, to keep center of gravity as low as possible on the bike.

Performance

  • The Four Stroke 200cc, single cylinder, Liquid Cooled, 23bhp means great pickup within its segment.
  • Liquid cooled engine performs well at very busy roads of Delhi.
  • Rear Suspension – Nitrox Mono Shock Absorber means good on comfort level.
  • Brakes: Front n Rear bybre disk brakes means well effecting in sudden stopping.
  • Tyres: Front 100 / Rear 130, 17” Tubeless tyres.
  • Gears: 6 gears very smooth riding

I did 0-60 in near about 4.1 sec, while watching in rear view mirror it seems other bikes are just not moving. The bike is very good at overtaking at Indian roads.

Handling

Suspension performs well on comfort level. Ride is quite hard on bad & busy roads of Delhi. If riding on smooth roads like DND Highway, Yamuna Xpress Way the real face of bike appears & it started flying. I think the bike should come with ABS.

Rating: 4.5/5

Mileage

The mileage of the bike is about 42kmpl depending on the riding condition, although it might gives 50kmpl if rides very smoothly. On red light, as usual questions arise by other bike riders “Kitna deti hai”.

Rating: 4.5/5

Personal Experience

My experience with this bike has been great. I’ve enjoyed riding it all the time. I think it’s very reliable and much built. As of now I have done 2200km with the bike. It’s easy to go faster on this bike but it might be dangerous. Bike will perform well if we take good care of it.

Concern

Some issues occurred with the bike was its rear disk break sound on braking as well as in running. 3-4 times disk pad has been changed but of no use, lastly frame of disk brake changed, then it comes to normal. Another issue was leakage in main pipe of radiator, well that was also replaced by the company.

Overall Experiance

I am in love with my Bike Pulsar 200 NS. Its great fun riding it. I happily gave 4.5/5 rating to the bike. It’s a very good eye candy bike. It’s a power pack bike, value for money.

Rajesh Kumar
