Bajaj is reportedly planning to present the Dominar 350 and Pulsar 350 in the coming 4-5 months in the Indian market
Bajaj Auto currently retails two models with engine capacity above 350cc in the form of the Dominar 400 and Pulsar 350 in the Indian market. Now, we have learnt that the company is planning to introduce 350cc versions of both these bikes to avail the lower GST benefits. For those asking, the Union government had introduced GST 2.0 in Sep 2025 with taxes being revised to 40 percent from the existing 31 percent on bikes with engine displacement above 350cc while smaller bikes saw reduction in GST from the existing 28 percent to 18 percent.
Due to the revised GST structure, Bajaj had to increase the pricing of the Dominar 400 and Pulsar NS400Z. Subsequently, the duo attracted higher prices which made them inaccessible for most of the buyers. Hence, the company is now looking to roll out the downsized (350cc) versions of both these motorcycles, so that they can be priced competitively and more buyers can avail these models.
We earlier told you that Bajaj will bring in 8 new motorcycles in the next 4-5 months in the Indian market. The Pulsar 350 and Dominar 350 could debut by May 2026 with a smaller 350cc engine which could bring them back in the competition against the other 350cc motorcycles from rival brands such as Royal Enfield, Jawa, Yezdi and Honda in the country.

Bajaj is not developing an all-new 350cc engine to facilitate this transition. Instead, the Pune-based two-wheeler brand is producing a downsized version of its existing 373cc engine by reducing the bore size while retaining the same stroke. The power output and torque delivery are likely to come down marginally, but it will not have much effect on the performance.
The ongoing iterations of the Pulsar NS400Z and Dominar 400 are powered by a 373.3 cc single cylinder liquid cooled petrol engine. It churns out peak torque of 35 Nm for both the bikes while top power stands at 39.4 bhp and 42.4 bhp for the Dominar and Pulsar NS400Z, respectively. Notably, both these bikes are not mass-market models and their sales are limited.

Bajaj Dominar 400 is sold at a price point of Rs 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the Pulsar NS400Z comes at a sticker price of Rs 1.94 lakh (ex-showroom). However, with the 350cc engine, we can expect a significant price drop for both the models. While the Dominar 350 price could be around Rs 2 lakh, the Pulsar 350 is likely to be priced at approx Rs 1.70 lakh.
