The C25 is the most budget-friendly mass-market electric scooter rolled out by Bajaj till date in the Indian market
Bajaj Auto has launched the Chetak C25 at a sticker price of Rs 91,399 (ex-showroom, Delhi) in the Indian market. It has become the most affordable electric scooter introduced by the company in our country. Bajaj Chetak C25 will be retailed alongside the 35 and 30 Series of the e-scooter in India while it rivals the likes of Hero Vida VX2, Ola S1 X and TVS Orbiter. The Chetak C25, since it is an entry-level model, misses out on several premium features which we see in the other premium and high-end electric scooters.
Presented in the Chetak’s signature metal body, Bajaj Chetak C25 gets a neo-classic design in a compact and modern avatar. It has been rolled out in six colours namely Active Black, Racing red, Classic White, Ocean Teal (Matte), Opalescent Silver and Misty Yellow. The electric scooter flaunts the traditional DRL headlamp while losing out on Self Cancelling Blinkers, Auto Hazard Light and Sequential Rear Blinkers.
Speaking on the launch, Eric Vas, President – Urbanite Business, Bajaj Auto Ltd., said, “The Chetak C25 reflects a clear shift in how urban mobility is being used today—shorter trips, tighter streets and a growing need for independent movement. While its form is compact and contemporary, the fundamentals remain unmistakably Chetak: solidity, sturdiness and reliability. The C25 allows us to extend the Chetak portfolio to a younger, more agile use case, while continuing to deliver the trust and confidence that the brand has stood for over generations.”

The Chetak C25 gets front disc brake and rear drum brake as standard. It boasts of a coloured LCD display which enables the riders to accept/reject calls, play music and access navigation. Some of the notable features onboard the e-scooter are Ride modes (Eco & Sport), Reverse mode, Hill hold, Guide me home lights, 25L underseat storage capacity, and Type-C USB charging port.
Bajaj claims that the Chetak C25 has the lowest turning radius of 1825 mm in its segment. The ground clearance is also decent at 170 mm. Tipping the weighing scale at 108 kg, it has a saddle height of 763 mm. The Pune-based two-wheeler brand is selling the Chetak C25 with a standard warranty of 3 years/ 50,000 km. It can be further extended to 5 years/ 70,000 km by paying Rs 5,990 while purchasing the e-scooter.

Bajaj Chetak C25 is powered by an IP67 rated 2.5 kWh fixed battery which returns a range of up to 113 km on a single charge. Equipped with a hub-mounted electric motor, it has a top speed of 55 kmph. The electric scooter is available with a 750W offboard charger which takes nearly 2.25 hours for 0-80 percent charge. For a 0-100 percent charge, it takes around 3.45 hours. The C25 comes with the conventional mechanical key identical to the ICE-powered scooters.
