Bajaj Chetak 3001 has been launched as a successor to the 2903 electric scooter while based on the same chassis platform as the 35 series.
Bajaj Auto has launched the Chetak 3001 at a sticker price of Rs 99,990 (ex-showroom) in the Indian market. Presented as an upgrade to the brand’s entry-level 2903 e-scooter, it sits on the Chetak 35 series platform. Bajaj Chetak 3001 comes equipped with a floorboard mounted battery pack of 3 kWh which returns a range of 127 km on a single charge. The Chetak 3001 electric scooter will be available for sale on Amazon e-commerce platform shortly. The Chetak was the country’s highest selling electric scooter in the first quarter (Jan-Mar) of 2025.
Bajaj claims that Chetak 3001 has a boot capacity of 35 litres which is adequate to swallow most of the regular belongings such as helmets and shopping bags. Identical to the 35 series, it gets a steel metal body which makes it the only e-scooter in the segment to have this feature. Moreover, the battery pack has IP67 rated water resistance to ensure Monsoon-proof commute.

The Pune-based two-wheeler brand is also offering an optional TecPac with the Chetak 3001 which comes with several features in the form of Call Accept/Reject, Music Control, Guide Me Home Lights, Hill Hold Assist, Reverse Light and Auto-Flashing Stop Lamp. It has the fastest 0-80 percent charging time of 3 hours and 50 mins via a 750W charger.

The Chetak 3001 is the most affordable electric scooter from Bajaj in the Indian market. The 35 range of e-scooters has three variants namely 3501, 3502 and 3503 in a price range of Rs 1.10-1.35 lakh (ex-showroom) in the country. The Chetak 3001 will rival TVS iQube 2.2 kWh, Ola S1, Hero Vida V2 and the upcoming Suzuki e-Access. it will be available in three colours namely Red, Yellow and Blue.
With the launch of the 3001, Bajaj Auto has now moved its entire electric scooter portfolio on the new 35 platform. It is nearly Rs 1,500 more expensive than the Chetak 2903, which it replaces in the domestic market. Bajaj Chetak 3001 delivery schedule has not been revealed yet, but we expect it to reach customers in the coming couple of weeks.
