The upcoming Avore electric motorcycle will feature sporty styling, a 10.5 kW motor, and a 5 kWh battery pack
Avore Electric, based in Ahmedabad is preparing to enter India’s electric two-wheeler market with a new electric motorcycle. The company has confirmed that its first product will be launched on July 28. While details remain limited for now, the teasers released ahead of the debut suggest that the upcoming model will be a sporty naked motorcycle.
The Avore electric bike gets a sharp-looking LED headlamp at the front, giving it an aggressive appearance. The motorcycle might get a split seat and a large digital instrument console. At the rear, the T-shaped LED tail lamps add a distinctive touch to the design. The overall styling appears to be aimed at buyers looking for something sportier than a conventional electric commuter.
The motorcycle is expected to ride on alloy wheels, likely measuring 17 inches at both ends. Braking hardware includes disc brakes, with single-channel ABS expected to be offered. The suspension setup consists of a telescopic fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. This should give the Avore electric motorcycle a familiar riding experience for buyers moving up from conventional petrol-powered motorcycles.
The biggest talking point is the powertrain. The upcoming electric motorcycle will feature a 5 kWh battery pack paired with a 10.5 kW electric motor. While the company has not yet revealed the claimed range, the battery capacity suggests that the motorcycle could offer 120+ km of range. The 14.2 PS motor will provide power similar to a 150 cc ICE motorcycle.
Scooters have been more popular in the electric two-wheeler segment. There are very few ‘good’ electric motorcycles in the EV space. The upcoming motorcycle, if priced right, could appeal to riders who want the instant acceleration of an EV without compromising on the styling of a conventional performance motorcycle.
More details about the Avore electric motorcycle, including its range, charging time, features and pricing, will be revealed at the launch.
