Ather Energy to Have 700 Dealer Outlets by March 2026 – Report

The company will double the number of its sales touchpoints in the coming 9 months, which presently stand at 351 stores across India.

Ather Energy has announced plans to expand its sales network with over 700 Experience Centres (ECs) across the country by March 2026. This expansion of touchpoints will double the number of stores from its current capacity which stands at 351 across India. The Bengaluru-based EV startup also has 24 dealer outlets in Nepal and Sri Lanka as well. Since its headquarter is based in Southern India, nearly 46 percent of the showrooms are in that region. Hence, Ather intends to triple its store numbers in the Northern part of India, along with expansion planned in western and eastern India by the end of FY26.

Ather’s family electric scooter Rizta recently crossed the 1 lakh units sales milestone. The key states contributing in achieving this feat were Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. The company stated that Rizta has a lion’s share of 60 percent in the brand’s sales success in the domestic market.

Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, said, “Rizta’s phenomenal success has opened up new markets and brought a much larger set of family buyers into the Ather ecosystem. We’re seeing demand coming in from cities where our footprint was previously limited, and that gives us the confidence to scale faster. Expanding to 700 Experience Centres is about staying ahead of this demand curve and ensuring that wherever our customers are, they have easy access to the full Ather experience.”

It has 3,578 fast-charging points across India, termed as Ather Grid, which is the country’s biggest two-wheeler fast-charging network. Ather Energy has also opened Gold Service Centres in certain cities as a part of its retail stores expansion plan. Ather Energy has two production facilities in India at Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The company uses these factories for vehicle assembly and battery manufacturing. However, due to surging demand and rising waiting period, the company will soon start its third manufacturing plant in Bidkin, AURIC, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra. This will take Ather’s overall annual production capacity to 1.42 lakh units.

Meanwhile, in other news, Ather is also planning to introduce a new budget-friendly electric scooter in the Indian market to rival Ola S1 Z, Vida VX2 and TVS Orbiter. It is expected to go on sale in the coming 3-4 months while priced below the 1 lakh mark. Ather presently retails Rizta and 450 range of electric scooters in the domestic market.
