Aprilia Tuareg 660 ADV Officially Unveiled

Aprilia Tuareg 660 launch in India can be expected in the coming few months, however, it won’t come cheap.

Aprilia has taken a plunge into the mid-size Adventure motorcycling segment with its all-new Tuareg 660 motorcycle. The midsizer is the third motorcycle on the 660 platform that already spawns a supersport and sports tourer. The ADV is more off-road focused and deploys the same 660cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine along with a 6-speed gear unit.

The new Tuareg 660 offers 80hp of power and 70 Nm of peak torque. Power is down from 100 hp but torque is marginally up from 67 Nm. This suggests that the motorcycle will have a more usable powerband necessary for an ADV. The design of the motorcycle is rugged and it feels that it will do tougher terrains effortlessly.

The styling is not graceful but it appears purposeful…

The new Tuareg 660 comes with an 18 liter fuel tank, elevated seating, an adventure-specific windscreen, spoke wheels, USD forks, etc. One of the catchy aspects of the off-road oriented ADV is the exhaust canister that looks bigger and arcs upwards parallel to the trellis framework.

The bike gets dual-channel ABS along with dual-disc at the front wheel and a single disc at the rear. The company has opted for 21-18 inch tyre set-up.

The instrument console…

Last month Aprilia teased moto enthusiasts with a glimpse of the Tuareg branding. We were expecting a release towards the fall of 2021, however, Aprilia dropped the bike much earlier than expected.

It comes with features such as traction control, cruise control, engine braking, fuel mapping, four adjustable riding modes, switchable ABS, LED headlamp, and colorful TFT instrument panel, etc.
