Aprilia SXR 160 Price Hiked; Costlier Than Aerox by 4000

Aprilia SXR160 latest price has risen by 4300 whereas smaller SXR125 has gotten costlier by almost 4500 in India…

We have said this earlier and will repeat it – Piaggio India is making some moves. Just like all the big name manufacturers of India, Piaggio is slowly and steadily increasing the asking price of their offerings. 

This time, the Aprilia’s offering – SXR 125 & SXR 160 – have received price hikes from this month.

The Aprilia SXR 125 scooter is asking Rs. 4,458/- more from this month. It now costs Rs. 1,31,664/-  (ex-showroom) across the country. 

On the other hand, the bigger brother – SXR 160 – is asking Rs. 4,319/- more than before. It now costs Rs. 1,42,802/- (ex-showroom) in India. 

These price hikes have brought no mechanical or visual changes once again. Every performance number and feature is the same as it was before. 

Both these scooter sports maxi-scooter styling with large visor at front and single-unit stepped seat as standard. The highlighting feature of both the scooters is the RSV4-inspired dual-LED headlight neatly integrated into the front visor of both the scooters.

Both the sibling scooter get step-through design with wide floorboards, unlike their rival  Aerox 155, which gets straddling design like motorcycles. 

The Aprilia SXR 125 is offered in only 1 colour – Red. Whereas the SXR 160 is offered in 4 colours – Red, Black, Blue and White. 

Finally, both the SXR scooters are now more expensive than their nearest rivals. The SXR 160 is nearly Rs. 4,000/- more expensive than the Yamaha Aerox 155 which is priced at Rs. 1.38 Lakh. 

The Aprilia SXR 125 is a whopping Rs. 44,000/- more expensive than the Suzuki Burgman Street 125.
