Ampere Xyber Electric Motorcycle Design Patent Filed in India

The filing of design patent indicates that the all-electric motorcycle is still under development and we might see the production-ready model soon

Ampere Xyber concept was unveiled at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo in New Delhi. Now, Greaves Electric Mobility (GEM), the parent company of Ampere, has filed a design patent for the electric motorcycle in India which indicates that the all-electric model is still under development and we might see the production-ready model at the 2027 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Being Ampere’s first electric motorcycle in the Indian market, the Xyber, with a naked streetfighter design, will directly rival Ola Roadster X, Oben Rorr EVO, and Revolt RV400.

Ampere Xyber electric motorcycle concept was presented with 17-inch front and rear alloy wheels. The braking equipment installed on the model were front and rear disc units alongside a single-channel ABS. Flaunting a space-age cockpit design, it was powered by an 8-10 kW motor to achieve a top speed of 100 kmph with a certified range of 180-200 kilometers on a full charge.

The battery capacity of the Xyber concept has not been disclosed as of now. The design patent hints at an angular design with multiple premium elements. The company had stated during the unveiling that it will support both AC home charging and DC fast charging. However, it remains to be seen whether the production version will be rolled out with all these advanced features or not.
