The top-end Sport trim has been rolled out in an exclusive Racing Red paintwork with Sport suspension, Gear Shift Assistant Pro and Riding Modes Pro
BMW F 450 GS Sport has been launched in the Indian market at a sticker price of Rs 5.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It will be the new range-topping variant in the ADV motorcycle’s line-up as untill now, it was offered in Base, Exclusive and Trophy grades at price points of Rs 4.95 lakh, 5.15 lakh, and Rs 5.60 lakh, respectively. The Sport trim has been rolled out in an exclusive Racing Red paintwork with Sport suspension, Gear Shift Assistant Pro and Riding Modes Pro as standard. The new BMW F 450 GS Sport can be purchased at a monthly installment of just Rs 9,999 per month.
First things first, the Racing Red colour scheme is flanked by clear Rallye windscreen and black hand protectors. The off-road footrests and plastic engine guard further amplify the adventure character of the new Sport variant. The F 450 GS is available with standard warranty of three years for unlimited kilometers, and it can be extended to fourth and fifth year as an option.
Apart from the new features and paint shade, the F 450 GS Sport remains the same in terms of design and engine specs. Sitting on a a welded tubular steel frame with integrated forged parts, it adorns the same iconic ‘GS’ design philosophy with peculiar styling elements such as the ‘X’ shaped full LED headlight, front beak, split-seat setup, tapered aluminum handlebar and body-coloured side panels.
The Base and Exclusive variants are available in Cosmic Black Color scheme while the Trophy variant is presented in Racing Blue Metallic with accents in red and white. It flaunts the tank center cover in Snaefell white paint shade while all the other variants have it in matt black colour scheme. Riding on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear lightweight aluminum wheels, the F 450 GS has been fitted with tubeless tires.
BMW F 450 GS comes with four ride modes namely Rain, Road, Enduro and Enduro Pro. Some of the notable safety equipment onboard the ADV bike are ABS Pro, Dynamic Brake Control, Dynamic Traction Control and Engine Drag Torque Control. A special mention goes to the 6.5-inch TFT display with multicontroller which gets ‘Pure Ride Screen’ and ‘Sport Screen’ displays.
The fuel tank capacity stands at 14 litres while the standard saddle height is pegged at 845 mm. At the heart, the F 450 GS houses the newly developed 420cc twin-cylinder inline engine which generates top power of 47 bhp at 8750 rpm and highest torque of 43 Nm at 6750 rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed gearbox. The ADV motorcycle is locally produced at TVS factory in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.
