Kawasaki Z300 Launch Price Rs 3.24 Lakh in India

The Z300 is nearly Rs 10,000 more affordable than the Ninja 300 as it is presented as the brand’s entry-level sports naked motorcycle

The all-new Kawasaki Ninja Z300 has been launched at a sticker price of Rs 3.24 lakh (ex-showroom, India) in the Indian market. Based on the Ninja 300, it is around Rs 10,000 cheaper than its fully-faired sibling which is priced at Rs 3.34 lakh. The entry-level sports naked bike was recently showcased at a private dealer event in Bengaluru. The company had released the pics and videos of the Z300 on its official social media handles. The Z300 will be sold via the CBU route similar to the other twin-cylinder Kawasaki bikes.

Kawasaki Z300 has been offered in two colour schemes namely Black and Lime Green. Following the Sugomi design language, it takes styling cues from the bigger models in the Z family, particularly the Z900. Some of the notable design elements in the street naked bike include triple-element LED headlights, upright single-piece handlebar, sculpted fuel tank and split seat setup.

However, the turn indicators get halogen bulbs while missing out on LEDs. Kawasaki has equipped the Z300 with 37mm RSU telescopic front forks instead of the USD suspension in order to keep the pricing aggressive. However, it gets an upmarket instrument cluster with reverse LCD display which has been borrowed from the Ninja 500. The rider have access to multiple connectivity features, including turn-by-turn navigation.

The Z300’s single-piece handlebar offera the riders a wider and upright stance with relaxed ergonomics. The Ninja 300 tips the weighing scale at 170 kg. However, the street naked bike is comparatively lighter in weight due to the absence of fairing which we see on the Ninja 300. The braking duties are performed by 290 mm front disc and 220 mm rear disc units.

Riding on 17-inch alloy wheels, Kawasaki Z300 is equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard safety feature. Mechanically, the Z300 is powered by the same 296cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled petrol engine as the Ninja 300. This engine generates maximum power of 38.4 bhp at 11,000 rpm and highest torque of 26.1 Nm at 10,000 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

Kawasaki Z300 will directly rival Aprilia Tuono 457, KTM 390 Duke and TVS Apache RTR 310 in the Indian market. Out of the three contenders mentioned before, only the Tuono 457 gets a twin-cylinder engine while the other two bikes namely 390 Duke and Apache RTR 310 are equipped with a single-cylinder engine.
