Kawasaki Z300 Revealed Ahead of Oct 20 Launch in India

The street naked motorcycle is likely to be priced around Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom) in India as the Ninja 300 costs Rs 3.34 lakh

We recently told you that Kawasaki Z300 was showcased at a private dealer event in Bengaluru. Now, the company has released the pics of the naked bike on its official social media handles ahead of the launch on Oct 20, 2026. Based on the Ninja 300, it can booked at Kawasaki showrooms from Oct 19 onwards. The Z300 will be the brand’s entry-level naked motorcycle in the Indian market. The street naked motorcycle is likely to be priced around Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom) in India as the Ninja 300 costs Rs 3.34 lakh.

Kawasaki Z300 will be offered in two colour schemes namely Black and Green. Following the Sugomi design language, it takes styling cues from the bigger models in the Z family, particularly the Z900. Some of the notable design elements in the street naked bike include triple-element LED headlights, sculpted fuel tank and split seat setup. However, the turn indicators get halogen bulbs while missing out on LEDs.

Kawasaki has equipped the Z300 RSU telescopic front forks instead of the USD suspension in order to keep the pricing aggressive. However, it gets an upmarket instrument cluster with TFT display as compared to the semi-digital instrument panel seen on the Ninja 300. The brand is expected to offer multiple connectivity features, including turn-by-turn navigation.

The Z300’s handlebar positioning will offer the riders a wider and upright stance with relaxed ergonomics. The Ninja 300 tips the weighing scale at 170 kg. However, the street naked bike is likely to be lighter in weight due to the absence of fairing which we see on the Ninja 300. The braking duties will be performed by disc units at both the ends.

Kawasaki Z300 is expected to ride on 17-inch alloy wheels. A dual-channel ABS will also be offered as standard safety feature. Mechanically, the Z300 will be powered by the same 296cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled petrol engine as the Ninja 300. This engine generates maximum power of 38.4 bhp and highest torque of 26.1 Nm with the Ninja 300. We can expect identical figures with the Z300.

The naked motorcycle will be sold via the CBU route similar to the other twin-cylinder Kawasaki bikes. Kawasaki Z300 will directly rival Aprilia Tuono 457, KTM 390 Duke and TVS Apache RTR 310 in the Indian market. Out of the three contenders mentioned before, only the Tuono 457 gets a twin-cylinder engine while the other two bikes namely 390 Duke and Apache RTR 310 are equipped with a single-cylinder engine.
