Kawasaki Z300 Showcased in India, Launch on Oct 20

Kawasaki Z300 was recently showcased to the brand’s dealer partners at a private event in Bengaluru as bookings start from Oct 19

Kawasaki India has unveiled the all-new Z300 naked streetfighter motorcycle in the country. It was recently showcased to the brand’s dealer partners at a private event in Bengaluru. Kawasaki Z300 bookings are likely to start from Oct 19, 2026 across India while pricing and other details will be announced a day later on Oct 20. Based on the Ninja 300, the Z300 shares several components with the full-faired bike including the chassis, engine and features. The naked motorcycle could be priced around Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market.

Kawasaki Z300 is expected to ride on 17-inch alloy wheels while braking duties are likely to be performed by disc units at both the ends. The naked motorcycle will boast of telescopic front forks and monoshock rear suspension. A dual-channel ABS will also be offered as standard safety feature. It will be available in two colour schemes namely Black and Green.

The Z300 will come with a wide and upright handlebar to offer a committed riding position. Unlike the Ninja 300’s outdated semi-digital instrument cluster, it will be packed with a modern and advanced TFT display with Smartphone Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. We also expect the naked motorcycle to come with all-LED lighting as standard.

Mechanically, the Z300 will be powered by the same 296cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled petrol engine as the Ninja 300. This engine generates maximum power of 38.4 bhp and highest torque of 26.1 Nm with the Ninja 300. We can expect identical figures with the Z300. The naked motorcycle will be sold via the CBU route similar to the other twin-cylinder Kawasaki bikes.

Kawasaki Z300 will directly rival Aprilia Tuono 457, KTM 390 Duke and TVS Apache RTR 310 in the Indian market. Out of the three contenders mentioned before, only the Tuono 457 gets a twin-cylinder engine while the other two bikes namely 390 Duke and Apache RTR 310 are equipped with a single-cylinder engine. If Kawasaki manages a pricing below Rs 3 lakh, it could really emerge as quite a successful product.

Based on the naked Z900 bike, the Versys 900 is expected to come at a price point of around Rs 11 lakh in the Indian market while going against the likes of Triumph Tiger 900 and BMW F 900 GS.
