Ultraviolette will release final specifications and further launch details closer to the Shockwave’s introduction in Q1 2027
Ultraviolette Shockwave electric motorcycle will go on sale from the first quarter of 2027 while built on the company’s newly developed 100V architecture. This announcement made today by the Bengaluru-based pure EV brand invokes a Deja Vu feeling as we witnessed a similar announcement in May 2026 for the Tesseract electric scooter. The Shockwave e-motorcycle was launched in March 2025 at a sticker price of Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 1000 customers while the first deliveries were promised from early 2026.
Ultraviolette’s newly developed 100V architecture will ensure stronger power delivery, higher thermal efficiency and faster charging. The lightweight electric motorcycle will be available in both single and dual-seat configurations. The brand also confirmed that it has started setting up the Shockwave production line at its existing manufacturing facility.

Bringing our 100V architecture to the Shockwave is an important step in realising that vision. When it launches in Q1 2027, we are certain it will be an exceptionally engaging motorcycle to ride. The Shockwave and Tesseract have been in parallel development over the past year and work is already underway to set up the Shockwave production line at our existing facility.”
The Shockwave e-motorcycle will be available in two paint options namely Cosmic Black and Frost White. It rides on 19-inch spoked front wheel with section 90/90 tyre and 17-inch spoked rear wheel with section 110/90 tyre as standard. The suspension duties are performed by USD forks at front and a monoshock unit at the rear. The Shockwave is packed with a 3.5 kWh battery pack which returns an IDC range of 165 km on a full charge.
Ultraviolette Shockwave has a peak power of 14.5 bhp and highest torque of 505 Nm at the rear wheel. The electric bike does a 0-60 kmph sprint in just 2.9 seconds. As for the braking, it boasts of disc units at both the ends as standard fitment. The company claimed that Shockwave promises the same iconic thrill of the ‘2-stroke’ motorcycling era that represented the lightweight, fun, and accessible motorcycles.
Earlier this year in May, the company had pushed the deliveries of the Tesseract electric scooter to Jan 2027 citing an identical reason. In the official press note, Ultraviolette stated that the e-scooter will be moved to the new 100V architecture which will offer 3 times more power delivery compared to the industry average which is 15 kW while also ensuring 2 times faster charging capability. The Tesseract electric scooter was launched alongside the Shockwave in March 2025.
