TVS and Bajaj Readying Electric Bikes For India, Launch in 2027

Both TVS and Bajaj are confirmed to launch all-new electric motorcycles in the next 9-12 months in the Indian market

The electric motorcycle segment has witnessed a lot of new model launches in the last few months. This includes the Flying Flea C6 from Royal Enfield, Oben Rorr Evo and Avore EX among many others. But, this is not all, as two prominent two-wheeler brands namely TVS and Bajaj are all set to foray into this segment with their all-new products in 2027. Hence, in this piece, we will talk in detail about the upcoming electric bikes from TVS and Bajaj launching in the Indian market in next 9-12 months.

1. TVS eFX three o Concept

The naked electric motorcycle debuted in concept form at the EICMA 2025 in Milan, Italy. It will become the brand’s first electric motorcycle in the Indian market as currently it retails only electric scooters in the form of the iQube, X and Orbiter. Design-wise, TVS eFX three o flaunts C-shaped LED headlamp and tail lamp clusters while the rear profile is quite sleek and compact.

The eFX three o electric motorcycle gets golden-finished USD front forks, large alloy wheels and belt-drive setup. It could also get the ADAS suite with an integrated dashcam system. The technical specs are not in public domain yet, but we expect the first TVS electric motorcycle to come equipped with iQube’s 5.3 kWh battery pack of iQube ST which could return a range in excess of 200 km. The eFX three o electric bike might feature 1 kWh “range boosters” to add 40-50 km of range.

In the beginning of 2026, TVS filed the design patent for the eFX 3O in India. Likely to launch by mid 2027, the naked all-electric motorcycle could be priced well and above Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom) in our country. With an Apache-inspired styling, it looks like the all-electric derivative of the Apache RTR 310. TVS eFX 3O is packed with petal disc units at front and rear which could work alongside a dual-channel ABS.

2. Bajaj Electric Bike

Bajaj Auto has confirmed that its first mass-market electric motorcycle will be launched in the Indian market by FY28 (Apr 2027 – Mar 2028). It will be initially exported to global markets from the brand’s Pune facility in India. In order to facilitate the smooth roll out of the new electric models, the company is also expanding the overall manufacturing capacity by around 20 percent.

While the initial 10 percent expansion will be carried out in the coming 3-4 months, the remaining 10 percent capacity expansion will take place by the end of this financial year or during Q1 FY28. Presently, Royal Enfield is the only mainstream legacy brand to have an electric bike portfolio in India while several others such as Hero, Honda and TVS are working on such models which are likely to go on sale around the same time as the Bajaj electric motorcycle.
