The 2026 Hero Xtreme 125R will be offered with new TFT instrument cluster, cruise control and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
The 2026 Hero Xtreme 125R is likely to launch on Oct 2 in the Indian market. The updated bike was spotted last month undisguised with multiple premium features, including new TFT instrument cluster and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The 2026 Xtreme 125R has already reached company dealerships and a formal price announcement could take place in the first week of October. The latest iteration of the naked motorcycle will be at loggerheads with TVS Raider 125, Honda CB125 Hornet, and Bajaj Pulsar 125.
TVS Raider 125 was the first motorcycle in the segment to get a TFT instrument console. Honda followed the suit and introduced the CB125 Hornet with a TFT screen. Recently, Bajaj Auto launched the new-gen Pulsar 125 with TFT instrument cluster, Google Maps mirroring and Connected tech. Hence, Hero had no choice but to equip the 2026 Xtreme 125R with the same feature as it doesn’t want to be seen left behind in this highly competitive segment.
Hero Xtreme 160R already comes with a TFT instrument cluster and now its smaller counterpart, the Xtreme 125R, has also been packed with the same feature. The ongoing model of the naked bike comes with a 4.2-inch coloured LCD screen as standard. Now, with the LCD unit being replaced with a premium TFT screen, the 2026 Xtreme 125R will become even more desirable and value-for-money model.
The 2026 Hero Xtreme 125R will be the only motorcycle in its segment to offer cruise control, TPMS and ride-by-wire throttle as a complete package. The bike will contnue to carry a few elements from the current model in the form of split seat setup, dual disc brakes, dual channel ABS, all-LED lighting, ride modes and wider rear tyre (120-section).
The suspension setup is likely to be retained from the existing model with the telescopic front forks and mono-shock rear unit at the helm. The 2026 Hero Xtreme 125R will miss out on USD front suspension, which is only available with Honda CB125 Hornet in the entire segment. Hence, we can expect the brand to notice this and perhaps introduce a new top-end variant in near future with USD forks.
Mechanically, the 2026 Hero Xtreme 125R will be equipped with the same 125cc single-cylinder petrol engine which belts out top power of 11.4 bhp at 8,250 rpm and peak torque of 10.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine is linked to a 5-speed gearbox. Presently, the bike is retailed in a price range of Rs 91,500-1,08,300 (ex-showroom) in the Indian market.
