BGauss C12 MaxR Launch Price Rs 1.46 Lakh in India

BGauss C12 MaxR has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 1.46 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market. However, the price will be increased later and it will cost Rs 1.55 lakh (ex-showroom) in our country. The electric scooter is based on BGauss’ WSA Platform which is a flexible vehicle architecture engineered to support multiple motor, battery and wheel configurations. It has been rolled out in four colour schemes namely Sparkling Wine with Champagne Gold, Terra Green with Champagne Gold, Pearl White and Satin Black.

First things first, BGauss C12 MaxR has been developed with high-tensile micro-alloy steel through robotic processes. The WSA Platform comes with a life span of up to 1.5 lakh km. It houses a 3.8 kWh IP67-rated LFP battery pack in an aluminium enclosure to return an IDC-certified range of 178 km on a single charge. The brand claims that its smart Battery Management System incorporates 110 safety and protection features.

The battery is connected to BGauss’ new HyperZen in-wheel hyperdrive motor platform which delivers top power of 5.6 bhp and top speed of 75 kmph. The electric motor, transmission, braking system and Motor Control Unit (MCU) are integrated into a compact architecture and therefore, the need of a conventional belt or chain is automatically eliminated. The C12 MaxR e-scooter has 160 mm of ground clearance and a standard payload capacity of 150 kg.

Some of the notable features onboard the C12 MaxR electric scooter are Riding modes (Eco, Ride and Sport), Reverse mode, Cruise control, Regenerative braking, Wireless charging, and All-LED lighting (headlamp, tail lamp and indicators). It also boasts of a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth Smartphone connectivity to access turn-by-turn navigation, call notifications, ride and charge statistics, user profiles, document storage and multiple display themes.

BGauss has packed the C12 MaxR with some of the most advanced bells and whistles in the form of Distance-to-Empty, FallSense, side-stand and main-stand motor cut-off, service reminders, Remember My Mode and Guide My Home. Furthermore, the riders can checkout features like Parental Lock, SecureLock, selectable speed modes, profile settings, firmware updates, vehicle health checks, SOS and DigiLocker connectivity.

The electric scooter comes with multiple storage spaces such as the under-seat compartment, pop-out umbrella holder, lockable compartment for documents and wallet, mobile and bottle storage, and a dedicated cleaning-cloth space. Riding on 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, the C12 MaxR gets a 220 mm front disc brake, rear CBS braking, hydraulic telescopic front suspension and a five-step adjustable Nitrox gas-emulsion rear suspension.
