The overall two-wheeler (ICE + EV) retail volumes of TVS Motor Company surpassed Hero MotoCorp and Honda 2-Wheelers in August 2026
TVS Motor Company has registered sales of more than 6.16 lakh units in August 2026 with a YoY growth of 21 percent. The company retailed nearly 5.10 lakh units during the same month last year. The total two-wheeler (ICE + EV) sales stood at 5.91 lakh units last month as compared to 4.91 lakh units in Aug 2025 with 21 percent YoY growth. The electric two-wheeler retail volumes, led by the iQube, surged from 25,138 units in August 2025 to 59,453 units in August 2026 with an exponential YoY growth of 137 percent.
TVS sold 433,796 two-wheelers last month in the domestic market against 368,862 units in August 2025 with a YoY growth of 18 percent. The export business posted YoY growth of 29 percent with sales of 174,452 units in August 2026 as against 135,367 units in August 2025. The two-wheeler exports saw an increase from 121,926 units in August 2025 to 157,641 units in August 2026 with 29 percent YoY growth.
Last but not the least, the three-wheeler division also grew by 34 percent on a YoY basis in August 2026 as sales soared from 18,748 units (Aug 2025) to 25,103 units (Aug 2026). In July 2026, the brand had registered its highest-ever monthly sales of 6.30 lakh units. It broke several sales records last month as it posted best-ever export volumes, electric two-wheeler dispatches and three-wheeler numbers.

TVS Motor Company also became India’s biggest scooter brand in monthly wholesales for the first time in July 2026. It sold 2,56,675 scooters as compared to 2,33,337 units retailed by Honda during this period. While TVS posted a YoY growth of 40 percent in scooter sales, Honda witnessed a decline by 12 percent in YoY volumes in July 2026. The ICE models including the Jupiter, Zest and Ntorq, clocked combined numbers of 1,97,289 units with a YoY growth of 23 percent.
In addition, it also outnumbered Ola Electric to become the biggest electric two-wheeler brand in terms of cummulative sales. TVS had sold 11,27,873 units till Aug 24 as compared to 11,17,031 units sold by Ola. TVS has sold a total of 3,42,958 electric scooters till Aug 24 in CY 2026 with a YoY growth of 75 percent. It has already surpassed the overall sales of CY 2025 whch was 3,15,081 units.

This sensational growth was spearheaded by the iQube electric scooter which recently achieved the sales milestone of 1 million units. Hence, in order to commemorate this occasion, TVS iQube MillionR special edition was launched at a sticker price of Rs 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Karnataka) in the Indian market. Based on the TVS iQube 3.5 kWh variant, it was rolled out in an exclusive Aurora Green dual-tone colour which is inspired by the Northern Lights.
