Royal Enfield August 2026 Sales: 11% YoY Growth, 1.26 Lakh Units

The domestic sales, export volumes and overall retail numbers grew in double-digits for the brand in Aug 2026

Royal Enfield has registered sales of over 1.26 lakh motorcycles in Aug 2026 with a double-digit YoY growth of 11 percent. The company had retailed 1.14 lakh units during the same month last year. The domestic sales surged from 1.03 lakh units in Aug 2025 to 1.14 lakh units in Aug 2026 with a healthy YoY growth of 11 percent. As for the export business, Royal Enfield shipped 12,275 units of made-in-India motorcycle to various nations last month as compared to 11,126 units in Aug 2025 with 10 percent YoY growth.

The YTD (year-to-date) sales in FY27 (April-August 2026) reached 5.75 lakh units with 23 percent YoY growth as 4.68 lakh units were sold during April-August 2025. During these five months, RE sold 5.21 lakh units in the domestic market while recording 28 percent growth as compared to 4.08 lakh units sold during April-August 2025. The exports declined by 9 percent on a YoY basis from 59,666 units during April-August 2025 to 54,443 units during April-August 2026.

Speaking about the performance for August 2026, B. Govindarajan, Managing Director – Eicher Motors Ltd. and Chief Executive Officer – Royal Enfield, said, “August was another growth month for us, continuing our strong sales momentum and setting a robust foundation as we head into the festive season in India. During the month we continued to evolve our product portfolio; we introduced the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition – a proud tribute to our historic association with the Armed Forces and brought fresh energy to the iconic Continental GT 650 through feature updates.”

Recently, Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition was launched in the Indian market at Rs 2.11 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Inspired by the enduring legacy of the Gorkha regiment, it was rolled out in a distinctive Gorkha Green colourway with a bespoke insignia featuring the legendary crossed Khukris. Alongside the motorcycle, Royal Enfield also introduced the Gorkha Collection, an exclusive range of apparel inspired by the bravery and discipline of the Gorkha Regiment.

Last month, Royal Enfield also launched the 2026 Continental GT 650 at a starting price of Rs 3.58 lakh (ex-showroom) in the Indian market. Available in four distinct colourways namely Rocker Red, British Racing Green, Apex Grey and Mr Clean, it now comes equipped with black-painted instrument cowl, new LED blinkers, USB Type-C fast charging port, and a blacked out engine, exhaust and cast alloy wheels.

Royal Enfield launched the Goan Classic 350, Guerrilla 450 Apex, Himalayan Mana Black, and showcased the Flying Flea C6 at The Festival Interlagos in Brazil. It also had a presence at Brasília Capital Moto Week 2026, featuring exclusive reveals of the Classic 650 125th Edition and new Meteor 350 colorways. Building on its global riding momentum, the brand also announced Moto Mongolia 2026, its first-ever marquee ride in Mongolia, scheduled for September 5-18.
