Honda August 2026 Sales: 8% YoY Growth, 5.79 Lakh Units

The domestic sales as well as exports business reported strong YoY growth in August 2026 as total sales crossed 5.79 lakh units

Honda 2-Wheelers India has posted sales of 5.79 lakh units in Aug 2026 with a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 8 percent. The company had sold 5.34 Lakh units during the same month last year. The domestic retail volumes grew by 8 percent on a YoY basis as the numbers stood at 5.17 lakh units in Aug 2026 as compared to 4.81 lakh units in Aug 2025. The export business registered the highest YoY growth of 15 percent last month as 61,833 units were shipped from India to various global markets against 53,840 units in Aug 2025.

The YTD (year-to-date) sales in FY27 (April-August 2026) reached 27.33 lakh units with 13 percent YoY growth as 24.25 lakh units were sold during April-August 2025. During these five months, Honda sold 24.07 lakh units in the domestic market while recording 11 percent growth as compared to 21.76 lakh units sold during April-August 2025. The company exported 3.26 lakh units during April-August 2026, registering 31 percent growth over 2.49 lakh units exported during April-August 2025.

“During August 2026, HMSI continued to serve customers across markets, reinforcing its commitment to mobility solutions across India through a nationwide network of over 7,000 touchpoints,” said the company in an official statement. Honda was India’s numero-uno two-wheeler brand last month in domestic sales as it sold nearly 4.70 lakh units and hence outnumbered Hero MotoCorp which retailed 4.41 lakh units in July 2026.

Honda ADV160 Flex Fuel E85

Recently, Honda ADV160 flex-fuel was launched at a sticker price of Rs 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) in the Indian market. Being unveiled in July 2026, it will be available through Honda RedWing and BigWing dealerships. The official bookings for the ADV160 maxi-scooter have started at a token payment of Rs 5,000 at the company’s official website as well as at Honda’s dealerships in the country. The first deliveries are promised from mid-October 2026 onwards.

Presented as Honda’s first flex-fuel scooter, it is capable of running of running on E85 fuel which has ethanol blending of 85 percent. The ADV160 comes with Honda’s proven FlexTech technology. Honda ADV160 flex fuel has the 156.93cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which develops top power of 16 bhp at 8,500 rpm and peak torque of 14.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm.

In addition, Honda also launched the Rebel 300 in two variants namely Standard and E-Clutch at price points of Rs 2.22 lakh and Rs 2.62 lakh, respectively, in the Indian market. Both the prices are ex-showroom, Bengaluru. Honda Rebel 300 is the brand’s entry-level cruiser motorcycle which directly rivals Royal Enfield Meteor 350. The bookings for the bike have started at Rs 5,000 on Honda’s website as well as dealerships while deliveries are slated to commence from mid-Oct 2026.
