Apart from the dual-tone colour, the 2027 Kawasaki Versys 650 carries the same design, features, hardware and engine specs as the outgoing model
Kawasaki India has launched the 2027 Versys 650 at a sticker price of Rs 8.63 lakh (ex-showroom) in the country. Offered in a single fully-loaded variant, it will only be available in the Candy Lime Green + Metallic Spark Black dual-tone colour scheme. The 2027 Kawasaki Versys 650 deliveries have already begun across the country as it comes at an unchanged pricing as compared to the outgoing model. Apart from the dual-tone colour, it retains the same design, features, hardware and engine specs as the MY26 Versys 650.
First things first, the 2027 Versys 650 continues with the adjustable windscreen, coloured 4.3-inch TFT console with Bluetooth connection, and KTRC traction control. The adventure tourer gets an all-LED lighting package, be it the dual-pod headlight, be it the turn indicators or be it the tail-lamp cluster. A few other notable elements include stepped seat, raised handlebars, semi-fairing and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The suspension duties are performed by 41 mm adjustable upside-down (USD) front forks and monoshock rear absorber with remote spring preload adjustability. The stopping power comes from 300 mm twin disc units at front and 250 mm single disc brake at the rear. It boasts of a restyled upper cowl which is inspired by the Versys 1000. A special mention goes to the Economical Riding Indicator and dual-channel ABS.
Sitting on a high-tensile tubular diamond steel frame, the mid-sized adventure tourer has ground clearance of 170 mm. The saddle height is pegged at 845 mm while it tips the weighing scale at 201 kg (dry weight). The 2027 Kawasaki Versys 650 directly locks horns with Triumph Tiger Sport 660 in India, which is priced at Rs 9.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
The ADV tourer has a fuel tank capacity of 21 litres. The wheelbase of the 2027 Versys 650 stands at 1415 mm. At the heart, the 2027 Kawasaki Versys 650 houses the 649cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled petrol engine which develops top power of 65.7 bhp at 8500 rpm and peak torque of 61 Nm at 7000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission.
Identical to the 2026 model, the engine is E20 fuel ready. The brand has been offering massive discounts and benefits on most of its motorcycle models, including the KLX230 RS, Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-6R, Versys-X 300, W175, Z650RS and Z900 Green. However, no offers or free accessories have been announced on the purchase of the Versys 650 as of now by Kawasaki.
