A total of eight variants of the 450 series and Rizta range have been listed on the CSD platform for Armed Forces personnel
Ather electric scooters will now be available for sale at the Canteen Stores Department (CSD) portal for Armed Forces personnel. The company has the received approval to commence sales through CSD portal from September 2026. Apart from the brand’s flagship electric scooter, which is the 450 Apex, a total of eight variants of the 450 series and Rizta range have been listed on the CSD platform. Just so you know, Ather Energy is only the second electric two-wheeler manufacturers in India to have its models retailed via the CSD portal.
Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy Limited, said: “We’re pleased to partner with CSD and bring Ather to the Armed Forces community. Being among the first pure-play electric two-wheeler manufacturers to be listed on the CSD platform is a significant step for us. In practical terms, this gives Armed Forces personnel and their families access to Ather scooters through a channel they already trust and use for their everyday purchases. A big part of expanding EV ownership is simply about availability, making sure the product is where customers already are. CSD does that at scale, and we look forward to being part of that journey.”
The eligible Armed Forces personnel will also get special discounts on the purchases of the 450 and Rizta models through CSD platform. These discounts will be available on top of the GST benefits applicable to purchases through CSD, providing an additional benefit to personnel purchasing an Ather scooter. The availability of eight variants across the 450 and Rizta series will offer the flexibility to choose an electric scooter based on their individual requirements.

Recently, Ather Energy introduced Pothole+ Alerts feature for its existing customers of Gen 2 and above scooters, including the 450X and Rizta Z models. It uses the data generated by Ather’s connected scooter fleet to warn riders beforehand about potholes, broken road sections, uneven surfaces and speed breakers ahead while on the go. Ather Pothole+ Alerts feature also informs the riders about the smoothest route before a ride begins, besides the fastest one.
The Pothole+ Alerts feature has been integrated into the brand’s navigation system. It will deliver advance notifications for potholes, broken road sections, uneven surfaces and speed breakers. The alerts are displayed on the TFT instrument console while they can also be delivered through the scooter’s speakers, the Ather Halo smart helmet or any compatible Bluetooth headset.
