TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak registered a sensational triple-digit YoY growth in July 2026 as combined sales surpassed 1 lakh units

The combined sales of top 10 scooters in July 2026 stood at 6,87,279 units with a healthy YoY growth of 20.4 percent as the top 10 models had accounted for retail volumes of 5,70,769 units in May 2025. Honda Activa continued as the undisputed leader of the segment with a market share of 30 percent in the sales list of top 10 scooters in July 2026. On the other hand, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak and Ather Rizta were the fastest-growing models in the list of top 10 scooters as all three electric scooters posted YoY growth in triple digits.

Starting with the Activa, it recorded sales of over 2.06 lakh units in July 2026 as compared to around 2.37 lakh units. The sales declined by 13.2 percent on a YoY basis. The second position was occupied by TVS Jupiter with retail volumes of over 1.48 lakh units last month against 1.25 lakh units in May 2025 with a YoY growth of 19 percent. Similar to the Activa, the Jupiter is available with 110cc and 125 engine options.

The third position was secured by Suzuki Access with 82,505 units in July 2026 against 68,172 units sold during the same month last year. The YoY sales volumes surged by 21 percent. The fourth position was grabbed by TVS iQube electric scooter with sales of 59,386 units in July 2026 as it continued to lead the e2w segment. It witnessed an exceptional rise in YoY volumes by 157.9 percent as 23,029 units were sold in July 2025.

It was followed by yet another electric scooter in the form of Bajaj Chetak at the fifth position with sales of 47,184 units in July 2026. The e-scooter witnessed a dramatic increased in YoY sales by over 307 percent. So, as we can see, among the top 5 scooters in July 2026, there were two all-electric models. The EV share stood at 11.2 percent in the overall two-wheeler sales last month.

The sixth position was held by Ntorq 125 with sales of 38,336 units last month as compared to 26,258 units in July 2025 with a YoY growth of 46 percent. Suzuki Burgman was at the seventh position as sales increased from 23,720 units in July 2025 to 30,607 units in July 2026. Ather Rizta maintained the ninth position with triple-digit YoY growth as it recorded sales of 24,833 units in July 2026.

Apart from the segment-leader Honda Activa, Honda Dio was the only scooter in the list of top 10 models at the eighth position to record a negative YoY growth as sales were down from 27,951 units in July 2025 to 25,903 units in July 2026. Yamaha RayZR held on to the tenth and eventual position with sales of 23,760 units in July 2026. It posted a decent YoY growth of over 44 percent as 16,421 units were retailed in July 2025.
